SabbathMate is designed so that the most personal part of the app — your Sabbath journal — stays with you.
What we store on your device
Journal entries, preparation checklists, Bible notes and highlights, Sabbath School progress, and your app settings are stored locally on your device.
Core features are available offline and do not require an account.
Location
If you allow it, your approximate location is used to calculate local sunset and Sabbath times. You can also set a location manually.
Optional cloud services
Cloud backup and sync are optional. If you enable them, the data you choose to back up is transmitted and stored so it can be restored on your devices. You can turn these services off and remove backed-up data.
AI summaries (coming soon)
Journal insights are not yet available. When released, they will be generated only from content you wrote, will not replace or alter your entries, and will remain optional.
Analytics and tracking
SabbathMate does not use advertising trackers. Any diagnostic data is limited to what is needed to keep the app working and is described here before it is collected.
Your controls
You can export your journal, delete entries, and disable optional services at any time.
